Prairie Rebirth: Lush and verdant once again after the fires of spring have gone, the Flint Hills have been reborn. Now emerald growth is raging as the prairie grasses rush to secure their life in a harsh land. Countless eons of rains have carved these hills from the bed of the primordial Permian Sea. Now these hills and valleys are graceful and supple, reminders of the great power of time to hew beauty out of nothingness. I shot this on assignment for National Geographic Magazine.
